Job description

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant (Bank)

Join our team at Pilgrims' Friend Society as a Kitchen Assistant (Bank) in our residential care home for older people in Bath. We are seeking an energetic individual to assist in our Catering Team.

About Bridgemead

Bridgemead is a 32-bed residential care home located by the river in central Bath, caring for residents with dementia and providing respite care. We prioritize the health, well-being, and happiness of our residents. Watch our video to learn what it means to work in our Christian Care Home.

Responsibilities
  • Wash up catering equipment and utensils
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
  • Clean water and spillages immediately
  • Maintain records as required
  • Serve evening meals (simple sandwiches or similar)
  • Clear tables
  • Stack the dishwasher
Training and Support

We provide a full induction and additional training as needed. The role involves working independently.

About You
  • Enjoy working with older people and show empathy
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and reliably
  • Work well as part of a team to deliver excellent service
  • Be well-organized, practical, and adaptable
Hours and Benefits

Bank shifts available to cover absences and holidays. Benefits include:
