Based in a quiet suburb of Northwood, on the outskirts of Watford, there are plenty of peaceful spots and social spaces for residents. They have a choice of five lounges to enjoy, an inviting terrace, a large patio area, and garden space to explore. The home also benefits from a cinema room and a hairdressing room with a nail bar.

There's a great atmosphere, and the staff encourage residents to get involved. They take the time to know the residents, tailoring activities to their interests and hobbies, such as community quizzes, crafts, flower arranging, tea dances, and fetes.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  1. Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
  2. Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
  3. Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures, and following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
  4. Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. You’ll understand the importance of maintaining high standards, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams, you’re comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.
