About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant supports food preparation and maintains a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to residents.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Understanding safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
• Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and following work instructions.
• Advising on supply and quality of items, ensuring timely reordering.
• Respecting residents and visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH.
• Be physically capable of handling a demanding workload.
• Show initiative and be flexible and positive in team settings.
• Have a caring attitude towards residents.
