We currently have an opportunity for an energetic individual to join our Catering Team in our residential care home for older people as a Kitchen Assistant.

Bridgemead is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath. The health, well-being, and happiness of our residents are of primary importance to us. The home cares for those who live with dementia and provides respite care in Bath. View our lovely home here.

Responsibilities:
  • Wash up the catering equipment and utensils;
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment;
  • Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur;
  • Maintain records as required by your manager;
  • Serve the evening tea time meal (usually sandwiches or something very simple);
  • Clear tables after meals.

We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post, but it will involve working alone.

About you:
  • You need to enjoy working with older people and have empathy for them;
  • You need to be able to operate laundry equipment safely and reliably;
  • You should be able to work as part of a team to provide excellent service to our residents;
  • You must be well-organized, practical, and adaptable.

Bank shifts are available to cover absences and holidays.
