Job description

Newstaff Employment is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to work in Luton Airport’s busy and fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a hardworking team responsible for supporting food preparation and maintaining cleanliness in a commercial kitchen setting.

Location: Luton Airport
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Shifts: 3 shifts per week, 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM (7.5 hours per shift)
Weekly Hours: 22.5 hours
Availability: Must be flexible across all 7 days of the week
Travel: Must be able to reach Luton Airport by public transport

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• Carry out general kitchen cleaning duties, including dishwashing and wiping surfaces
• Help maintain hygiene standards and comply with food safety procedures
• Work efficiently to support kitchen staff and service schedules
• Handle all general kitchen tasks as required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant is highly advantageous
• Must be able to work early morning shifts
• Flexible availability across all 7 days of the week
• Clean, efficient, and reliable
• Must be able to travel to Luton Airport using public transport
• Comfortable with a physically active role and working under pressure
