Salary: Starting Salary is £23,656 (Level one) rising to £24,404 (Level three) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

Kitchen Assistants primarily support cooks in providing high-quality, culturally appropriate catering services to meet citizens' needs. Responsibilities include basic food preparation, washing up, cleaning, and packaging food with regard to safety and hygiene legislation.

The ideal candidates should be reliable, hardworking, organized, with good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including COSHH and Health and Safety;
  • Understanding of food hygiene procedures;
  • The ability to support teams across Nottingham City Council Adult Provision sites as needed;
  • Ability to work independently and seek help when required.

A DBS enhanced check for regulated activity is required for this position.
