About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals that residents will enjoy. You’ll uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spills, you will prioritize Resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Strong organisational skills, good record-keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and pursue additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
