Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join South Africa Lodge in Waterlooville. You will support the catering service, prepare meals, and help maintain a safe kitchen environment.

The role requires at least 6 months UK kitchen and care-home experience, strong communication, and a willingness to learn about residents as individuals. Shifts vary between 8am-4pm and 8am-6pm, averaging 30 hours per week.

• At least 6 months care/nursing home experience within the UK.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents and visitors
• Commitment to learn about residents as individuals and to create ideas to improve life for the residents
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery, utensils, containers and small-scale equipment manually and through machine
• Cleaning floors, work surfaces, furnishings and related equipment manually and by use of machine
• Complying with regulations in respect of Health and Safety at work, COSHH, Environmental Health and Fire Procedures

What You’ll Bring

• At least 6 months experience working in a similar role within the UK.

Your Working Pattern

• Average of 30 hours per week (working alternating 36-hour and 24-hour weeks)
• Shifts: 8am-4pm and 8am-6pm.

What You’ll Be Doing
