Job description

This is a permanent part-time role as a Kitchen Assistant at Walstead Place, a 41-bed residential care home in Lindfield, Haywards Heath. The role involves flexible shift patterns of either 7-7, 7-2, or 2-7, with alternate weekends required. The successful candidate will work in a team to prepare and serve meals for the residents, ensuring a high standard of service and attention to detail.

Main duties of the job

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to support the smooth running of the kitchen, including food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You should be a fast learner with a passion for hospitality, and a willingness to work as part of a diverse and inclusive team. Qualifications

• No specific qualifications are required for this role, but relevant experience in a kitchen or catering environment would be an advantage. A passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn and grow are essential.
