ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Understanding safe food handling principles to ensure hygiene standards are met during food preparation.
  • Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly executing work instructions.
  • Advising on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
  • Respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident when acting towards residents and visitors.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Possess knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and responding to a demanding workload.
  • Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards teamwork.
  • Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
