Hartford Care Ltd. in Southampton is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support Woodlands House Care Home in delivering nutritious meals in a clean, compliant kitchen.

You will help with meal preparation, serve breakfasts to residents, assist with wash-up duties after lunch, and join residents in baking mornings, all while maintaining a warm, caring atmosphere and adhering to current food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions.
• Prepare vegetables for themed meal nights (e.g., curry night).
• Deliver residents' breakfast to rooms.
• Wash up after lunch periods.
• Assist residents with baking activities.
• Work with the team to maintain a tidy, safe kitchen environment.

Kitchen Assistant
16 hours per week
Location:Woodlands House Care Home, 205 Woodlands Road, Woodlands, Southampton, SO40 7GL

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
