Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant on a part-time basis for 7 hours per week, contracted to 47 weeks per year. You will join a team that takes pride in their food, brand, and people.

You will prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and handle deliveries with care while upholding food hygiene and health & safety standards. Candidate should be flexible, a good team player, and able to work under pressure.

• Organised and reliable with punctual timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Ensure safe use of all kitchen machinery and equipment.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and unloading supplies.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
