Job summary

Lodestone House is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to support Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week. You will join a team that prides itself on food, brand, and people, with opportunities to progress within a company that values individuality and development.

Your shifts are planned across 5 out of 7 days, with the role aimed at 37 weeks per year. You’ll contribute to the kitchen’s high standards and be part of a large network delivering meals across numerous venues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Ensure correct use of all machinery and equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading of deliveries and supplies.
• Represent Chartwells with a positive brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
