Kitchen Assistant (Part-time)

Looking for a few hours of rewarding work each week? Want to get out of the house and be part of something meaningful? This could be just what you're looking for!

We're offering a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly Ancillary Staff Team at Bethany Home in Preston as a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant-just 4 hours a week across 2 days.

This is a great role for someone energetic, reliable, and eager to make a difference. Our Ancillary Team plays a key part in creating a warm, welcoming environment by supporting the upkeep of resident rooms and shared spaces, all while going the extra mile to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfasts for the residents;
• Support the cook to prepare and serve lunch to the residents;
• Wash up the catering equipment and utensils;
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment;
• Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur;
• Maintain kitchen records as required by your manager;
  
  

We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post.

About You

• You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
• You need to be able to operate laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner
• You need to be able to work as part of a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
• You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.
