Job summary

Orchard Healthcare Group is looking for a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our Penwortham care home kitchen. You’ll help prepare meals, support personalised menus, and ensure residents receive nutritious, tasty options in a caring environment.

You’ll work around 33 hours per week, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the company. Prior care home kitchen experience is preferred, and a respectful, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Cook/Kitchen Assistant experience, preferably in a care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing a range of meals to suit individual tastes and dietary requirements.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and caring manner to create a positive dining experience.
• Support delivery of personalised menu plans and ensure residents' rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

You will have Cook/Kitchen Assistant experience preferably gained in a care home setting.

Engaging with residents in a friendly and kind manner, ensuring their dietary preferences and needs are met, and creating a positive dining experience for everyone.
