Port Gaverne Hotel in Port Isaac is seeking a kitchen assistant to join a small, dedicated team. You will help with food preparation, operate the dishwasher and keep the kitchen clean, tidy and safe for service.

This role is suitable for someone looking to start a career in a commercial kitchen, with in-house training and a supportive environment across a classic coastal pub and hotel.

Job description

The 17th century Port Gaverne Hotel is nestled in a beautiful, secluded cove near Port Isaac on North Cornwall's dramatic coast. Relax in our traditional old bar with slate floors, wooden beams and a wide range of proper ales served alongside seasonal, quality food inspired by the bounty on our doorstep.
The Port Gaverne has 15 ensuite rooms, each individually furnished. Please note, our rooms are situated on two floors of the building and because the building is very old, we do not have access to an elevator. All rooms are accessible via a narrow, steep staircase with low ceilings, keeping the natural beauty of the place intact.
The beautiful, peaceful North Cornwall Heritage Coast is on our doorstep, with the beach just moments away.
