We currently have vacancies for Kitchen Assistants at Woldhaven Care Home Pocklington

1 x 18 hours per week ( fixed term)

1 x 12 hours per week ( fixed term)

The role of a domestic assistant involves general cleaning duties. High standards of cleanliness are very important in this environment, which involves some knowledge of infection control. This role is for general catering support for our Cooks within the kitchen. Basic preparation of basic food prep and cleaning of food area. Pot washing and general kitchen duties which will involve support with teatime (lighter meal options)

Full training will be provided to meet all the requirements for the post. The applicant must be able to work a flexible rota to meet the needs of the service between the hours of 7am and 6pm.

Hours will be on a 4 x week rota to cover for weekends and Bank Holidays where required for which extra pay will be paid at double time and time and half for weekend working.

Good teamwork is essential as well as having a good level of fitness.

Good communication skills and a caring nature

Due to working with vulnerable adults an enhanced DBS will be required

This is a 6 month fixed term contract for both the above hours

There are casual posts available and will work on a as and when required basis.
