Job description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant for a care home in North Walsham.

Pay: GBP 12.75 an hour.

Your Role as a Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside our chefs to ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard, while keeping the kitchen clean and organized. Your role is essential in creating a pleasant dining experience for our residents.

What You'll Do

1. Assist with food preparation, ensuring meals are ready on time and meet high-quality standards.
2. Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following hygiene and safety regulations.
3. Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock is handled correctly.
4. Follow food safety guidelines, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
5. Support the wider team, contributing to the smooth running of our kitchen.

Who We're Looking For

1. Previous experience in a kitchen role is beneficial but not essential.
2. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and handling (training provided).
3. Strong organizational skills to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
4. A positive, team-focused attitude with a passion for delivering great service.
