As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities include helping to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You'll uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, monitoring fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters, or cleaning spills, your focus will always be on Resident wellbeing.
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. Ideally, you will have an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or be willing to study for one. Good record keeping and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues if necessary.
