Our stunning care home, Adel Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular northern suburb of Leeds, West Yorkshire. The home is registered to provide care to 74 residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We are seeking to appoint a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation for residents and external visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract with an excellent hourly rate of £12.21. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekends off.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation and cooking for daily menus as directed by the Head Chef or Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules.
3. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP regulations and legislation at all times.
4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake pot washing duties daily.

Skills and experience required:

1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required, as we provide training and development for this role.
