About You
You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Responsibilities include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning kitchen equipment—all with Resident wellbeing as the priority.
We seek a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, ideally holding an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willing to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record keeping, following recipes, and communicating kindly and considerately are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to report concerns appropriately. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional related training.
