About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is vital in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient working environment. The Kitchen Porter will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, particularly during busy service periods. Key Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients when required.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by ensuring work areas remain clean, organised, and well stocked.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and equipment throughout service.
Dispose of waste appropriately and follow recycling procedures in line with company standards.
Assist with receiving deliveries and storing food and kitchen supplies correctly.
Follow health, safety and food hygiene regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Person Specification

Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, or catering environment is beneficial but not essential.
