About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, your role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals that residents will enjoy. You’ll uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, assisting new starters, or cleaning, your focus will always be on resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Strong organisational skills, good record-keeping, the ability to follow recipes, and considerate communication are essential. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; therefore, you must recognize signs of abuse or neglect, attend relevant training, and know how to act on concerns.
