Job summary

The Botanist Leeds, part of The New World Trading Company, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to keep the kitchen clean, well-organised and running smoothly. You will assist chefs, prepare batches, support deliveries and ensure hygiene standards are met during busy service times.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Prior food preparation experience is helpful but not essential.

• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and workspaces
• Supporting deliveries and stock organisation
• Assisting the kitchen team during service
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Prepare food batches for service following prep lists and par levels.
• Follow kitchen specifications and measurements when preparing ingredients.

The Botanist Leeds are hiring a Kitchen Assistant!

Behind every great service is a great kitchen team!

We're looking for Kitchen Assistants who take pride in keeping things organised, clean and running smoothly. You play an important role in keeping the kitchen operating efficiently by maintaining hygiene standards, preparing food batches, and supporting chefs with essential kitchen tasks.

You work closely with the chefs on shift to ensure the kitchen remains well organised, equipment is clean and ready for use, and ingredients are prepared according to spec.

What You'll Be Doing:
