Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small team here at The Oak Inn.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist the kitchen staff with food preparation and cooking tasks.
  2. Clean and sterilise countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks.
  3. Maintain food storage areas such as freezers and refrigerators.
  4. Wash dirty dishes, including cutlery, pots, cutting boards, and pans, or load them into the dishwasher.
  5. Dispose of waste and recycling in designated areas.
  6. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
  7. Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and dispose of it properly.
  8. Clean and maintain cooking equipment like cookers, pots, and food mixers.
  9. Provide assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
  10. Maintain thorough attention to detail, excellent time management, and critical thinking skills.
  11. Collaborate with colleagues effectively as part of a team.
  12. Follow all instructions given accurately.
Training Provided Includes
  • In-house training

Working Pattern

Shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays, half terms, with occasional evening functions.
