Job description

Pertemps are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant for a local school. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure a smooth operation of kitchen activities.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation of food items.
  2. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
  3. Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  4. Help with the serving of meals and ensure timely delivery of food to the dining area.
  5. Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.
  6. Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
  2. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
  6. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 7am to 2:30pm
£14 per hour
