Qualifications

• Erfahrung als Koch in einer gewerblichen Küche ist erforderlich.
• Fähigkeit, unter Druck zu arbeiten und mehrere Aufgaben zu bewältigen.

Responsibilities

• Vorbereitung und Kochen von Mahlzeiten für bis zu 100 Personen.
• Planung und Organisation von Mahlzeiten unter Berücksichtigung diätetischer Anforderungen.
• Einhaltung der Lebensmittelhygienestandards während der Zubereitung.

As a Kitchen Assistant here at Lidl, you’ll be responsible for keeping our hard-working teams fed and watered with healthy, balanced meals. From preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch for up to 100 people per meal slot to sourcing all ingredients from our onsite warehouse, you’ll be a key player in our team, making sure your colleagues are set up for their shifts and never go hungry. You’ll always go the extra mile, keeping those dinner plates spinning at all times.

What you'll do

• Make sure enough food is prepared for everyone
• Assist with the planning and organising of meal schedules and menu changes, with consideration for dietary requirements
• Consciously manage food stock levels, while minimising waste
• Thoroughly source all meal ingredients from our onsite warehouse
• Attentively maintain food hygiene standards throughout the preparation process

What you'll need

• Proven experience working as a cook within a commercial kitchen is essential although additional training and support would be given to the right candidate
• Incredible multi-tasking skills with a side order of organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility with shift work, including weekends
• To be a confident clear communicator with a good standard of written English, able to follow instructions precisely
• Level 2 Certificate in Supervising Food Safety & Hygiene in Catering is desirable for this role however we are happy to support your training
