Individual Restaurants has an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team based in Harrogate. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return receive a competitive salary (including tronc).

The role:

As a Kitchen Assistant reporting to the Head Chef, you will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness, complying with health and food hygiene legislation at all times.

What will you be doing as our Kitchen Assistant?

1. Thoroughly cleaning designated areas, sweeping, and mopping floors, ensuring all surfaces are hygienically cleaned as instructed by the Line Manager.
2. Cleaning fridges, shelving, food prep areas, cupboards, and trolleys.
3. Managing staff areas including bathrooms and kitchen laundry.
4. Preparing the dishwasher for daily use and reporting faults or chemical needs to the manager.
5. Clearing, washing, and stacking crockery and cutlery properly.
6. Keeping machines and equipment clean, following cleaning schedules, and disposing of rubbish and recyclables correctly.
7. Adhering to all legislative food hygiene, health, and safety requirements.
8. Supporting the kitchen with basic food prep after training, if necessary.
