Please note that this is a part-time role working 20 hours per week from 7.30 am - 6.30 pm. Full flexibility is required.

About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals that residents will enjoy. You’ll uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, demonstrating equipment use to new starters, or cleaning spills, your focus will always be on resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, preferably with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. When communicating with residents and colleagues, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act on concerns. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should feel confident in seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalation if necessary.
