Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support a fast-paced kitchen and help deliver high-quality dishes to guests. You will work closely with the kitchen team, learn new skills, and contribute to smooth service and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

The role offers opportunities to progress through the internal career pathway, with a focus on developing skills in a busy pub kitchen and delivering consistent, quality food to guests. Flexible and part-time hours may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or fast-paced service environment is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and take on new skills in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to work well in a team and support kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Support with food preparation and service.
• Help maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Contribute to keeping kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Be a proactive team player and learn the Commis Chef pathway.

Be on hand to make every service that bit smoother. You’ll play a vital part of making sure our kitchen team have everything they need to produce great, hot quality food for our guests.

As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll:

Be eager to learn and get stuck in, in an environment that’s fast paced with the opportunity to pick up plenty of new skills that can be used in our kitchen and at home.

• Have the opportunity to progress and learn the ropes of the Commis Chef role.
• Help to maintain high food and safety standards across the kitchen.
• Help to maintain that all kitchen areas remain cleanand clutter free
• Take pride in the food you prep and serve.
• Be committed to being a team player.
