The Heights, High Wycombe care home, part of The Orders of St John Care Trust, is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team. You’ll help prepare meals and beverages for residents and support the daily routines in a compassionate, home‑like setting.
No prior catering experience is required as full training will be provided; a Basic Food Hygiene certificate is a plus, and a positive, can‑do attitude with good communication is valued to ensure residents receive excellent service.

You don’t need to have previous formal catering experience, as we’ll give you the training you need, although it would be helpful if you hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. What we’re looking for is someone who is keen on cooking and takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards. You’ll have a positive can-do approach, with good communication skills and you’ll be passionate about ensuring our residents receive the best service possible. You’ll be confident in engaging with our elderly residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.
