About You
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves preparing and serving nutritious meals that residents enjoy. You will uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Tasks include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning. Resident well-being is your priority.
We seek candidates with kitchen experience or an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record keeping, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, attend relevant training, and know how to escalate concerns appropriately.
