Job summary

Greene King’s Pub & Carvery is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support a busy kitchen, keeping stocks stocked and the workspace clean while the team serves delicious carvery and pub dishes. You’ll help ensure smooth service and a safe, welcoming dining environment for customers.

You’ll bring enthusiasm for a fast-paced kitchen, willingness to learn, and clear English communication to work with the team and follow allergen controls and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is beneficial.
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety regulations.
• English proficiency to perform role safely and understand controls.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the kitchen ensuring a busy service runs smoothly. You’ll make sure everything is well stocked, clean, and the team around you have everything they need to create the perfect dish for our customers.

Qualifications

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will…

• Help the kitchen service run smoothly by making sure it is well stocked and clean.
• Cook confidently on the main line
• Confidently cook carvery and serve carvery to customers
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with your team, ensuring they have everything they need.

What you’ll bring to the kitchen:

• A passion for challenges and thriving in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willingness to learn and expand your skills in the kitchen.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
