Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen
Assistant
to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is vital
in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient
kitchen environment. The ideal candidate must be available to work weekends,
public holidays, and festive periods including Christmas and New Year
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist
    with basic food preparation and cooking tasks as directed by chefs
  • Wash,
    peel, and chop vegetables and other ingredients
  • Clean
    kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Maintain
    hygiene and safety standards at all times
  • Receive
    and store food deliveries appropriately
  • Dispose
    of kitchen waste and operate the dishwasher
  • Assist
    in setting up and closing down the kitchen each day
  • Support
    chefs and front-of-house staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous
    experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred but not
    essential
  • Willingness
    to work flexible shifts including weekends, public holidays, Christmas,
    and New Year
  • Good
    understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Ability
    to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Physically
    fit and able to stand for long periods
  • A
    team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
