Job summary

Away Resorts in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance team member to support kitchen operations and guest experiences at our North Cornish coast resort. This seasonal contract offers a £12.71 per hour wage, paid weekly, with variable hours and no transport or on-site accommodation provided.

You will clean food prep areas, wash utensils, assist with deliveries, and help manage costs while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in F&B environment.
• Willingness to complete hygiene training if needed.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep food prep areas, equipment and floors clean and hygienic.
• Wash utensils and dishes and store properly.
• Accept deliveries and rotate stock with correct dating.
• Assist with food prep and menu items as required.
• Work with front of house to maximise margins and minimise waste.
• Follow Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations.

We’re looking for a kitchen assistant who candeliver delight to our guests. You will be helping the kitchen team to run a safe, efficient and profitable food and beverage operation.

What you’ll be doing

You will be working in the engine room of the kitchen ensuring guests receive a memorable experience through excellent service and food quality.

• Ensuring the food preparation areas, equipment and floors are clean and hygienic.
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
• Accepting deliveries, ensuring ingredients are stored correctly and date rotated.
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare other items on the menu.
• Work alongside front of house and kitchen team to maximise food margins and minimise wastage
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations
