Description

Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards.

Department: Takeaway

Location: Cloud Kitchen - Edinburgh

Compensation: £12.21 - £13.00 / hour

Working Hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am, Monday to Sunday

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

  1. Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and ingredients, including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge.
  2. Wear a full smart clean uniform and protective clothing as required.
  3. Adhere to Pasta Evangelists standards to ensure high-quality products for customers.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and comply with all Health and Safety regulations.
  5. Monitor ingredient availability and inform team leaders in advance.
  6. Record food information, ensure stock rotation (FIFO), and maintain accurate wastage records.
  7. Utilize SOPs to maximize food quality and speed.
  8. Ensure equipment like fridges, ovens, and microwaves are maintained and temperature records are kept.
  9. Prepare and cook food according to standards and SOPs.
  10. Check deliveries, report issues, and ensure proper storage.
  11. Operate cleaning areas effectively, dispose of rubbish correctly, and report equipment issues.
  12. Follow close down procedures to keep the kitchen clean and ready for the next shift.
  13. Organize pest checks and report concerns.

Who are you:

  • Knowledge of safe food handling and preparation techniques (preferable).
  • Familiarity with basic culinary techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and manage time.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Good team player, effective communicator, and able to follow instructions.
  • Willing to adapt to changing situations and work schedules.
