Job summary

Avon Court Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant on a bank contract to support meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. You will work with the Chef and team to ensure meals are prepared efficiently to high standards, with opportunities to develop in a supportive setting.

This role offers a positive, reliable approach, good organisation, basic food safety understanding, and teamwork.

Providing nursing and residential care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Bank
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.
You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.
This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
