Orchard Care Homes Ltd. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support meal preparation and resident wellbeing at our Chesterfield care home.

Qualifications

• Cook/kitchen assistant experience, preferably in a care home setting.
• Ability to prepare meals that meet individual tastes and dietary needs.
• Compassionate and respectful approach when engaging with residents.

• You will assist in the preparation of a range of meals to suit individual tastes and requirements, you will demonstrate a caring nature towards others.
• You will have Cook/Kitchen Assistant experience preferably gained in a care home setting.
• Engaging with residents in a friendly and kind manner, ensuring their dietary preferences and needs are met, and creating a positive dining experience for everyone.
• You will have what it takes to nurture, encourage and care. Making a meaningful contribution to someone's life is fulfilling, demanding, requires flexibility, professionalism and skills.

With 39 bedrooms in our purpose-built home, each spacious room comes with its own en-suite and plenty of space to add your own belongings. Residents can also choose one of our larger rooms with two beds, perfect for couples who would like to stay together in our care home!
