Join us as a Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team. As a Kitchen Assistant, your role will involve supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to our residents.

Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding and applying safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Contributing positively to team efforts and responding promptly to work instructions.
  • Managing supplies efficiently, including ordering and quality control.
  • Respecting residents and their visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.
About you:
  • Possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Ability to work efficiently under physical demands and a busy workload.
  • Show initiative, flexibility, and a caring attitude towards residents.
Additional requirements:
  • A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
