Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL is seeking an enthusiastic kitchen assistant/driver to join a busy school kitchen. Responsibilities include driving, loading and delivering food, preparing meals, serving in the dining room and keeping the kitchen tidy.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence with car access and business-use car insurance. Mileage will be reimbursed at 55p per mile. The role operates term-time with three additional cleaning days, Monday to Friday between 11:30am and 1:30pm.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking kitchen assistant / driver to join our team in a busy school kitchen.

Duties include; Driving, loading and food delivery, food preparation, dining room service and general kitchen housekeeping. Applicant must have a full driving licence and use of a car. Business use car insurance will also be required and they will receive 55p per mile in renumeration for costs associated with travel.

Term Time with 3 additional cleaning days. Monday - Friday between 11.30am - 1.30pm.
