Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking dishes to menu specification, ensuring every plate meets high standards and is presented well.

You will work across early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rota, maintain cleanliness, follow food safety rules, help with stock rotation, and grow through fully funded apprenticeships and internal development.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of food to meet menu requirements
• Ensuring all dishes are prepared and served to a high standard of quality and presentation
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and all food preparation areas
• Following food safety, health and hygiene regulations and procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation and proper storage of food items
• Working closely with the rest of the kitchen team to keep daily service running smoothly
• Staying flexible on shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as the rota requires

£27,352 per annum, £13.15 per hour, 40 hours per week across 5 days

We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help our kitchen team prepare and cook dishes to menu specification, day in and day out, with every plate presented to a high standard.

Day to day, that means:

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of food to meet menu requirements
• Ensuring all dishes are prepared and served to a high standard of quality and presentation
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and all food preparation areas
• Following food safety, health and hygiene regulations and procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation and proper storage of food items
• Working closely with the rest of the kitchen team to keep daily service running smoothly
• Staying flexible on shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as the rota requires

Hospitality doesn't run 9 to 5, and neither do we. Our kitchen operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
