Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking a Social Worker to join the team at Quarry Centre on a fixed-term, full-time basis. The role requires statutory social work experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• BA Social Work qualification or equivalent DipSW, CQSW.
• SSSC Registration is essential.
• PVG A Full UK Driving Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and balance risk and protective factors within a child protection framework.
• Assess needs, formulate and analyse complex information to inform planning for children and families.
• Prioritise tasks, manage own workload and deliver quality case work.
• Communicate effectively, build rapport with children, families and professionals.
• Negotiate to reach resolutions and implement changes.
• Handle complex issues with sensitivity and professional judgment.
• Use information systems to maintain accurate data and reporting.
• Write high-quality concise reports and present information to internal/external audiences; including Court.
• Apply research findings and statutory guidance to social work practice.
