Job summary

Steelite International is seeking a production operative to place glazed and decorated ware onto kiln batts and to empty fired ware for the next process. You will also remove pitchers and refractory waste while maintaining a clean, safe work area in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Hours include rotating day, noon, and night shifts; successful candidates will work in a fast-paced ceramics manufacturing environment at Steelite’s Stoke-on-Trent facility, contributing to our globally

Responsibilities

• To Cranking or placing ware onto kiln batts as appropriate
• Ensure ware is loaded correctly i.e. stacked at appropriate height, not touching
• Empty ware from kiln and placed onto boards for next process
• Removal of pitchers and refractory waste
• To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.
