Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Youth Service seeks a part-time wellbeing worker to support children aged 8-11. The role involves group sessions in communities and some 1:1 work, focusing on mental and physical wellbeing and resilience.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team under the Families First Funded project, working flexibly across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan with hybrid arrangements and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Experience of face-to-face work with children (8+) who may have barriers to engagement.
• Experience of group and 1:1 support.
• Experience of working with families.
• Working in an empowering and empathetic way with children who need wellbeing support.
• Knowledge of emotional intelligence techniques.

Responsabilités

• Provide personalised wellbeing support to children aged 8-11 through group work in community settings and some 1:1 sessions.
• Support with goal setting to improve mental and physical health and resilience.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary Families First Funded project in the Vale of Glamorgan.
