Khalsa Leamington HC – Ladies Head Coach Vacancy

Khalsa Leamington Hockey Club are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate individual to become our next Ladies Head Coach.

Our Ladies 1st XI are in an exciting growth phase, aiming to make a swift return to Midlands Premier division. We’re seeking a driven coach to lead the development of the squad and help us take that next step—supported by a clear and ambitious club-wide development strategy.

The Role:

You will play a key role in progressing the Ladies 1st XI, working alongside the Ladies 2s coach and supporting the ongoing development of high-potential junior players.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Delivering engaging midweek training sessions for the Ladies 1st XI, in collaboration with the Ladies 2s coach.
  2. Coaching at all home fixtures and travelling with the team to away matches.
  3. Providing performance analysis and using insights to inform training.
  4. Supporting our Junior Performance Academy and contributing to our thriving junior programme—while not required to attend every session, you’ll play a key role in guiding young players on their hockey journey.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a well-established and ambitious squad.
  2. A passion for player development, particularly in creating opportunities for emerging talent.
  3. Proven experience coaching at Midlands Premier level (or equivalent), with success in performance-driven environments.
  4. A proactive mindset toward recruitment and supporting the continued growth of our women’s section.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Level 2 coaching qualification.
  2. First Aid trained and DBS-checked (or willing to obtain).

Remuneration:

Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.

We currently have five Ladies teams competing in the Midlands leagues, and our junior section is thriving—with over 170 members aged U6 to U18. The section has enjoyed recent success, including cup and plate wins over the last few seasons.
