Job Title: Key Stage One (KS1) Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150-£230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-Time/Part-Time

Are you ready to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education as a KS1 Teacher? Do you have the patience and passion to support every child’s individual learning journey?

GSL Education are excited to recruit a skilled and creative Key Stage One Teacher for a primary school in Rotherham. The school provides excellent resources and a collaborative environment to support both staff and students in achieving success.

As a Key Stage One Teacher, you will teach children in Year 1 and Year 2, helping them build strong foundations in reading, writing, and maths. You will create a warm, encouraging classroom where children feel safe and inspired to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the KS1 curriculum through engaging and clear lessons.
• Support students’ development in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
• Maintain a positive, calm classroom atmosphere that supports learning and good behaviour.
• Monitor and record student’s progress, sharing updates with parents and staff.
• Work alongside teaching assistants and other school staff to support children’s needs.

KS1 Teacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Recent UK experience teaching in KS1 classrooms is desirable.
• Good understanding of the curriculum.
• Ability to plan lessons that suit different learning styles.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
