Salary Scale: £83 - £100 per day

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and qualified Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, to work at an Alternative Provision in York, North Yorkshire.

Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised and small-group support to KS2 pupils with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
• Use positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support with personal development, emotional regulation and wellbeing activities.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.

Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN or within an alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• A calm, empathetic and consistent approach.
• Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
