KS2 Class Teacher + TLR 2A for leading RE

Required from September 2025

The Governors of St. Sebastian’s R.C. Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and outstanding teacher to work in KS2 and lead RE across the school. The role may also include subject leadership in another curriculum area.

As RE leader, your first focus will be to introduce the new Religious Education Directory “To Know You More Clearly” in preparation for the school’s Catholic School Inspection in the 2026-27 academic year. You will promote good practice, innovative ideas, and be tasked with improving standards of teaching and learning in RE in a supportive way.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with a minimum of four years teaching experience
  • Committed to being a role model for the Catholic ethos of our school
  • Able to ensure excellence and enjoyment for all children through engaging teaching and learning experiences
  • Self-motivated and able to lead supportively
  • Ambitious with a drive to make a difference as a key leader within the school
  • Committed to their own learning and professional development
