Job description

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher to inspire young minds at our vibrant primary school in the heart of Chapeltown.

A temporary TLR for Key Stage Leadership may be available for the right candidate for the 2025/2026 academic year in the first instance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an excellent teacher to excel in a diverse and thriving school community. At Holy Rosary and St Anne’s, we strive for excellence and enjoyment in all we do—enabling every child to reach their full potential. Our strong inclusive ethos, based on the teachings of the Catholic Faith, along with creative and immersive learning environments, provide opportunities for all; children feel loved, happy, safe, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Key Stage 2 teaching and learning, including coaching and leading CPD, and supporting colleagues to continually improve
  2. Modelling excellent classroom practice as an upper KS2 class teacher, setting high standards
  3. Leading and supporting a culture of high expectations for behaviour and attitudes, ensuring consistency and support
  4. Supporting SEND in Key Stage 2 and working closely with our SEND Support Officer
  5. Championing equity and inclusion, with a focus on improving outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
  6. Potential to be part of a senior leadership team and lead your own phase

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Is passionate about inclusive education and has experience supporting children with SEND and those from disadvantaged backgrounds
  2. Is committed to working hard to make a difference where it matters most
  3. Understands the importance of high expectations for all learners, especially pupil premium students
  4. Will lead with compassion, integrity, and ambition for every student
  5. Values the distinctiveness of a Catholic school, embracing its ethos and seeing the strength it brings to the community

In return, we offer:

  1. A welcoming and supportive school environment with passionate staff team, students who want to learn, and supportive families
  2. Supportive and sensible leadership
  3. A school committed to a knowledge-rich and diverse curriculum, making the best use of specialist teachers
  4. Inclusive culture for staff mental health and wellbeing
  5. Line management, coaching, and opportunities for professional development and career progression
  6. Opportunity to work from home for PPA (one day a fortnight)
  7. Dedicated leadership time to complete your role

If you are experienced in supporting colleagues, possess excellent teaching skills, and are excited about working hard to serve a disadvantaged community, then we want to hear from you.

The headteacher will show all candidates around the school prior to application, and we encourage this so you can see what our school is like. To arrange a visit or request an application pack, please contact the school via the recruitment email address.

Scheduled show round: Monday, 19 May at 10 am and 4 pm

Deadline: 9 am Tuesday, 20 May
