Your new role

I work with this single-form entry primary school on a first-call basis, to support them with their advanced and same-day sickness cover. You will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences and ensuring that the school's students continue to thrive.

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Deliver planned lessons where provided.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Mark work completed throughout the day, following the school's marking policy.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to cover different classes as required.
  • Provide verbal or written handover to/for the class teacher.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
What you'll get in return
  • The opportunity for regular supply.
  • Flexible working - the ability to work as many days each week as you would like.
  • First call on long-term cover opportunities at this school.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Free access to online training and development.
  • The chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
  • Competitive daily rate and benefits package.
